Déjà vu
Here we go again. We spent two days this week (with a crew of professional movers, of course) moving house, and leaving our forest idyll in Carrboro for the high life of downtown Durham. The big draw were a faster commute for Mike (we are now a stone's throw from the Duke East Campus) and an added room for Kermit's nursery. Kermit seems fine, by the way, with froggy legs practiving flutter kicks and pushing off the wall for a great future in competitive swimming no doubt.
So we are thrown again into the "ecology of moving" (see archives) in which every item you need right away becomes ineluctably tied to every other item you have moved, and the search for said item sends you down venturesome paths of discovery. The mere making of our morning oatmeal has been torn asunder, as the ingredients are scattered amidst multiple different opaque moving boxes. Such poor planning on my part, I should have tried to summarize my daily life in 30 items or less and kept that all in one box.
But I repeat myself. This is all unb earably familiar, with the added spice of not knowing when Kermit might just leap into the world and relegate all of this to details... Hang in there, we're still banking on a Sagittarius!
